Carrot Seed Essential Oil

Carrot is a biennial plant of the Apiaceae family and thrives best in cool to moderate regions. In moderate temperature, Carrot grows a rosette with finely-divided leaves above ground, branching out into flower stalks with white or pinkish flowers when winter sets in. Beneath the ground is the Carrot's edible taproot, which can range in color from the usual orange to white, yellow or even purple. Carrot Seed essential oil comes from the Wild Carrot, with its white, inedible root. The oil is extracted from the dried seeds through distillation.
