Eucalyptus radiata, also known as narrow-leaved peppermint, is a medium to tall tree native to Tasmania, with recorded height varies from 12 to 45 meters. It has fibrous and grayish-brown bark that grows all the way to the top half of the trunk. The juvenile leaves are soft and flexible, green, stalkless, and arranged in opposite pairs along the stem. At full maturity, these olive-green leaves become more lance-like and pointed, with short flexible stalks. The fruit of Eucalyptus radiata is a small bud, which is shortly stalked and club-like in shape with a slightly pointed tip. This species is very similar to Eucalyptus amygdalina (black peppermint) however, unlike Eucalyptus nitida (Smithton peppermint), which is smooth and pale above a stocking of fibrous bark.

I am very pleased with my purchase of this product. This is good quality oil for the price. Just add a few drops in your oil burner and it really helps with cold and flu symptoms, particularly when you have a sore throat or cough. I also blend it with grapeseed oil to make a chest rub for my son. It clears his ongoing sinus problems very well. Itâs a powerful antiseptic and I would recommend it to anyone with respiratory problems. |
