There are many Lavender essential oils in the market, only very few of which have true therapeutic properties. Many oils are distilled from other species of Lavender or is sometimes a blend of several species. This Lavender oil is distilled from only the flower heads of Lavandula angustifolia which grows above 1200 meter altitude, and is one of our best-selling essential oils.

Lavandula angustifolia - this species is the most valued of all Lavenders both for its quality oil and as a garden plant. It forms a low growing woody shrub 40 to 60 cm tall, with the attractive flowers borne in short compact to long interrupted spikes on a distinct and unbranched peduncle. The flowers are usually shades of violet-blue to purple, but with violet, pink and white variants known. The number of flowers per cyme is typically three to five, with occasional individuals bearing just a single-flowered cyme, other with up to seven flowers per cyme.

Lavender is the most used essential oil of all in aromatherapy. Its greatest attribute is said to be as a relaxant. It is also so mild that it can be used safely with anyone and used in high concentration. It is a well known sedative, as well as a good antidepressant. Clinical studies show that it leads to a more relaxed, less anxious, and therefore more efficient state of being. It is extremely useful for most stress-related issues.

Lavender essential oil is also well known for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Clinical studies suggest that it may also be a mild anesthetic, making it an effective treatment for any kind of pain, including headaches, arthritis, or overworked muscles. Its anti-inflammatory properties also indicate its use in soothing allergic reactions, whether respiratory or dermal.

This high altitude Lavender essential oil has warm, floral top notes and very little camphor, woody undertones. It has a less floral sweetness compared with the organic Lavender oil and a nicely balanced fragrance between the Australian Lavender and Organic Lavender.

It is highly regarded for it's relaxing effect on the nervous system, with an overall balancing effect on the mind and the emotions.

Pros: Perfect in every way

I have been making vibrational remedy mists for 24 years. Over the years I have tried many providers. Sometimes the scent was a little bitter, or just didn't smell right after a few weeks. I decided to try High Altitude Lavender and it is the best ever. The properties include being anti-fungal, viral, microbial, and bacterial. This makes it great for traveling, or in day cares, or offices. I add flower essences to enhance the mist. 95% of my mists have this oil, and it blends well with everything. So have to have found this beautiful staple of my business.
